To materialize Her vision of global progress and enlightenment, Sri Jayanthi Kumaraswami has established the Sri Jai Sathya Mission in Chennai. She also established the Jai Sathya Mission of Trinidad & Tobago in the West Indies. Both organizations assist less privileged families, youth in education, women counseling, animal welfare and much more.
Sri Jayanthi Kumaraswami has initiated a campaign in the slums of Chennai where the Mission educates families about practices to keep their bodies healthy and clean such as brushing their teeth and proper baths. The Mission distributes free soaps, toothpastes and brushes, shampoos and hair oils.
In many rural villages in India and across the World, young women have an abrupt stop to the access of education when they are married. They lack both motivation and resources. Swamiji journeys to rural villages across the World inspiring change in the lives of thousands of young people. She guides them and delivers school supplies such as books, stationery and school uniforms. The Mission also educates people on menstrual hygiene.
Annam means food and danam meaning the act of giving or donating. Swamiji says that peace of mind also comes when one’s stomach is satisfied. Swamiji offers Annadanam on every full moon and other special days throughout the year.
Sri Jayanthi Kumaraswami established the Share and Cheer Clothing Bank in Chaguanas, Trinidad. The Bank provides free clothing to underprivileged families and the homeless.
