Sri Jayanthi Kumaraswami was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Southern India, Her childhood unfolded with various mystical experiences that could not be understood by the normal man but aided Swamiji in rediscovering Her purpose in this incarnation. While other children Her age were playing with friends, She was already chanting mantras and spontaneously uttering predictions with stunning details that would soon after manifest to reality. As Swamiji matured into Her teenage, She became the source of guidance to thousands of individuals who approached Her. Her charitable nature manifested even at that young age. Swamiji would cut Her school pencils into several pieces and take pomegranate seeds to share with underprivileged street children. She spent many hours with these children and also with elderly people who felt lonely. Her astonishing miracles and extraordinary wisdom and knowledge were evident that She is a divine child. Her power is ‘Swayambhu’ which means it was created by its own accord, at birth; without the help of any spiritual gurus. She does not belong to any lineage of Gurus nor was She born into a spiritual family, but the influence of Her presence and activities hint to an ageless and all-knowing ‘avatāra’; soft and compassionate yet spirited like a lioness.
Swamiji’s divinity is centered in the principle that God is One and all of creation is not separate from that One. She has announced Her purpose is to bring peace to all by guiding humanity and providing us with the necessary tools to realize the hidden divinity behind this material persona. She says the fueling of this light within us is of paramount importance to usher a new age of truth, kindness and love. It is Her strong belief that every individual, regardless of religion, caste, race or socioeconomic status, and irrespective of whatever wrong they have done in their past, should be given another chance to learn and live righteously. Her vision of a new age is a world of a united people who experience bliss amidst the material pleasures but at the same time free from attachment. For this, She has devoted Her life promoting personal transformation through a series of activities such as Her signature Vibratory Meditation to social outreach to the less privileged. As an advocate for the oppressed and those wrongfully rejected from society, Swamiji initiated an ongoing public discussion to stop caste discrimination, as well as humanitarian campaigns to improve the lives of the people living in the slums and rural villages across the globe.
In 2017, Her Holiness created history when She was adopted, under royal declaration, as a daughter of Asante Kingdom in Africa by its King, Asantehene Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II who recognized Her outstanding work in the field of spirituality to encourage unity. He gave Swamiji the venerable title “Yaa Asantewaa”; the name of an ancient African warrior queen who led the war against the British colonialists.
Swamiji’s frequent travels around the World, gave Her the title “the Roaming Saint”; the globetrotter Who brings peace to every soul in every country She touches. She has given darshan in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, United Kingdom, Ghana, Togo, Mauritius, France, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Lucia, British Virgin Islands, Martinique, Guyana, Panama, Mexico and across India.
